When Jessica Debar commenced into STEP ERS she told the CVGT Consultant, Rhonda Penney it was her ambition to be a hairdresser/beauty therapist.
She had applied for a position but was unsuccessful.
Jessica had submitted her resume to several hairdressers in Bendigo, also without success therefore she commenced a retail course as she thought she wouldn’t be able to gain a position in hairdressing.
Rhonda kept in contact with Jessica regularly and although she was enjoying the retail course, she still had a passion to become a hairdresser
With the additional help of Julianne Runnalls, from CVGT, Aaron Joseph at Aaron Joseph for Hair, was contacted an interview was arranged for Jessica
She was very excited to have the opportunity of an interview with such a well known hairdresser
Contact was made with Aaron Joseph and he agreed to a work trial for Jessica three days before Christmas which is one of their busiest periods
Ultimately it was up to Jessica to prove herself and she excelled with glowing reports from her employer
After a further two weeks trial Jessica has successfully gained a full time Hairdressing Apprenticeship
This is a great example of us all working together as a team to produce a great outcome
